Notes From The Bride
Evan and I met in Kansas City a few months before I was to move to Philadelphia for my third year of medical school. Even though we spent the first year of our relationship over a thousand miles away, I knew Evan was the “one” and returned to Missouri as quickly as possible. Luckily, he felt the same, and proposed March 17, 2010 in Arizona.
We decided to wed at the Intercontinental Hotel rooftop ballroom on the Kansas City Plaza. With the help of the world’s best wedding coordinator, my mother, and Mother Nature, we were able to have our dream wedding on a beautiful Labor Day weekend.
It was the perfect wedding. We got hitched and everything went off without a hitch! The staff at Jack Stack BBQ - Freight House (rehearsal party) and the Intercontinental Hotel were remarkably accommodating. The flowers and hupah were gorgeously designed by Larry Wheeler - the IC Floral Director. Our guests loved the music provided by the Juniper Quartet and Michael Beers Band and our Captured Memories photo booth. The IC wedding coordinators - Dustin and Paul - well, you couldn’t ask for better. And, finally, I definitely can’t forget the awesome work of Freeland photography. Even my camera shy husband said Freeland made the experience “fun”.
However, what made the day truly exceptional was the love and support of our family and friends on our special day. Evan and I will cherish the memories for a lifetime.
