Groom's recap:
How did the two of you meet?
I am originally from Chicago and Julie is from San Francisco. We met at work and started out as friends. I am here in Kansas City working on my Doctorate of Pharmacy and the University of Missouri Kansas City. She works for an insurance company and I am currently working at Costco in the pharmacy. I asked her to marry me at Crown Center on Christmas Eve in front of the all the lights and large tree.
*What was your favorite moment on the wedding day?We decided see each other before the ceremony. Freeland did an awesome job of allowing us to see each other before the ceremony so that we could make sure that when our pictures were being taken her hair and makeup was perfect. *What thought went through the groom's mind the first time he saw you?The first time I saw her I thought to myself I am one lucky guy. She was stunningly beautiful.
What was the best decision/favorite vendor you hired?
Our favorite vendor was the venue. Barbara and her staff at Loose Mansion are phenomenal. They made the day so easy you would have thought we had 100 people waiting hand and foot on us. We had a little issue where her garter was misplaced and then became lost. The Loose Mansion staff and Freeland were able to track one down for the special day. Also, when the DJ had problems getting our wedding song to play, Tiffany (with Freeland Photography) quickly downloaded it on her iPhone and the disaster was averted.
Was there anything you would have done differently on your day? There was nothing we would have done differently at all. It was perfect! We even had some rain, actually it was more like a monsoon. It worked out well because it cleared up and cooled the weather on what would have been a humid August day.
How many dresses did you try on before you found YOUR dress? The dress shopping was pretty quick. She found the dress on the first day, but continued to look to make sure it was perfect.
Where did you spend your honeymoon? We spent the honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It didn’t rain a single day we were there and the weather was perfect. Other than a delay on the way home, the traveling was great.
What was your opinion/reviews of Freeland Photography?
Freeland Photography was top notch. Mike was awesome and was able to work within our budget. Travis and Tiffany were superb. We couldn’t have asked for better photographers. They were passionate and it showed. Having two photographers was definitely the way to go. Tiffany was able to hang out with Julie and made sure she got all the pictures of getting all dolled up. Travis hung out with the guys playing cards. These two talented artists literally “made” our wedding. Thank you again guys.
