Bride's recap: 

  TJ and I met during our sophomore year at Blue Valley High in 2002. We were instantlygreat friends, and finally by our senior year, we started dating! We both went to KU in Fall2004, and loved sharing all of our college memories together. After college, TJ continuedon to KU Law while I worked in Leawood. On June 12, 2010, TJ proposed on the rooftop ofThe Oread hotel in Lawrence overlooking the KU campus. We were both so thrilled to beengaged, and we loved planning our very special wedding day on August 6, 2011!

  We were married at Saint Michael the Archangel in Leawood, and our reception wasin the Rooftop Ballroom of the InterContinental Hotel on the Country Club Plaza. Theceremony was wonderful – Brookside Quartet provided beautiful music, and two familyfriends sang all of the psalms and hymns. The priests gave a special mass, and we willnever forget the feeling of seeing one another for the first time that day! Our receptionat the InterContinental was beyond perfect – guests loved the rooftop ballroom’s viewof the Plaza, and the food, drinks and service were extraordinary. Sidelines provided allof the beautiful floral arrangements at the church and reception, as well as all bouquets.Caren’s Cakes made a beautiful and delicious wedding cake: a seven-tiered white cake withlemon filling. The Michael Beers Band was a huge hit at the reception, playing ‘till midnight with great dance songs like “Billy Jean,” “Bad Romance,” and “Living on a Prayer!” Thebridesmaid’s dresses and my dress and custom veil were all from Nolte’s Bridal. My dresswas the second dress I tried on, and I knew it was the one! We honeymooned at SecretsSanctuary in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic and had a fantastic time. Working with MikeFreeland has been so wonderful – he is such a talented photographer, and has a great spiritwhile capturing such precious and treasured memories. Mike and Tiffany make a great team, and we cannot wait to see the moments in time they have captured from August 6,2011!
