Bride's recap:

*How did the two of you meet?  Mike and I met while serving at Dave and Buster’s, we were good friends for a while before he took me out for a night of dinner and dancing to cheer me up, and the rest is history!

*What was your favorite moment on the wedding day?  Watching Lauren walk down the aisle and seeing all of our family and friends sharing the day with us.  Seeing the look on Mike’s face when we saw each other for the first time.  I was so excited I didn’t even cry, which is unusual for me!

What thought went through the groom's mind the first time he saw you?  Oh wow!  You’re absolutely gorgeous and I get to spend the rest of my life with you!”

What was the best decision/favorite vendor you hired?  This definitely is not a fair question for us!  We had so many amazing vendors come forward to give us such a special day, I feel like I need to give a little shout out to everyone.  Freeland photography was great, they were so accommodating and easy to work with!  Delish! catering and events went over the top with our food, from the sliders and taco bar all the way to our delicious signature sangria!  Jennifer at Pro DJ KC kept the dance floor full and really made the evening go so smoothly, she was our DJ and event coordinator in one!  KC photobooth was a great way for our guests to get involved and feel like an important part of our special day, everyone loved it!  Horizon Limo provided our transportation and everyone in their office was helpful and courteous!  Bridal Kitchen provided us with an awesome groom's cake made to look like a sampler pack of Mike's favorite beer, Boulevard!  Adria Hunter with Bloom 47 did our ceremony florals and I really loved my colorful peacock feather bouquet!  Liz and Ashlee from Studio 500 did my hair and make-up as well as my bridesmaids' and they did a fantastic job, not to mention they are just so much fun to be around!

Was there anything you would have done differently on your day?  We didn’t have a videographer for the ceremony!  I’m not sure why we thought we wouldn’t watch it, but I am already regretting that.  Luckily Ron from Fox 4 got some footage and so did several of our close friends so we’ll get a video put together soon.

How many dresses did you try on before you found YOUR dress?  I actually only tried on 5 or 6!  I had seen "my dress" in a magazine and when I tried it on I loved it.  I wasn't going to buy it because it was only about 3 weeks after our engagement, but when I found out it was on special I decided I couldn't pass it up.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?  We went to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  It was beautiful there, and we had several excursions such as zip-lining and hiking in the rainforest that made our time there really special.

What was your opinion/reviews of Freeland Photography?  We really enjoyed working with them!  Mike Freeland did our engagement shoot in Independence and we really liked all of those pictures.  John Reiger and Tina Mills shot our wedding and they were both wonderful!  They got all of the shots we wanted without being intrusive, and they were very professional.

We were married at Christ Community Church in Leawood.  (others are mentioned above)
