Notes from the Bride

We met in Junior High in Kearney, MO. We both attended the same youth group for years. We were always just friends up until our freshman year at college when we both ended up being at a get together and just got reunited. After the get together, Curtis saw himself driving from Kearney to Warrensburg just about every weekend to come see me at college. What we will do for love : ) We got married at our local church here in our town Kearney. My favorite memory of the wedding day had to be when our two ring bearers got into a pillow fight during the ceremony. Ha madethings just more relaxed.

All of our vendors were OUTSTANDING! There is no way to pick the top one. I think I was most impressed with Lucky Few Photo booths, Freeland Photography, and Madrid Theatre. Lucky Few made the reception so fun! They had a HUGE photo booth with props and every guest got a copy of the picture along with the bride and groom, which they made into a scrapbook of all the pictures!

Mike Freeland was amazing. He took so many pictures and made the day go so smoothly! He was constantly on the move and captured every single moment I swear. Photography is a BIG part of the day and I know we made the best choice going with Freeland!
Madrid Theatre was absolutely perfect for the reception. It is gorgeous. Missy Dibble is wonderful as well. It was so nice not having to worry about setting up the reception place and knowing it was going to be beautiful!

The only thing I would have changed that special day was to have the reception be longer then a four hour event. We were all having so much fun and didn’t want to leave.

I think I tried on about 15 dresses before I found the one! I knew my dress was the one as soon as I tried it on! I got my dress from Bridal Solutions in Lee’s Summit.  I was so happy with them. They are a little boutique and truly cared about what you wanted and wanted to make sure you were happy and did everything for you until you were. We spent a week in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for our honeymoon. We had a blast. We stayed at the Jewel and we couldn’t have made a better choice! It was beautiful and the people were amazing. We had the best time and made new lifelong friends who share the same wedding day as us! We all plan on going back for our 5year anniversary!
